Is Jimmy Butler Trying to Lure an Unhappy Joel Embiid to Come Play With the Miami Heat?

Joel's on the way!

MIAMI, FLORIDA - DECEMBER 28: Jimmy Butler #22 of the Miami Heat laughs with Joel Embiid #21 of the Philadelphia 76ers during the second half at American Airlines Arena on December 28, 2019 in Miami, Florida. Well folks , it seems like the marriage between Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid may be on the rocks, and Embiid may have his sites set on an ex-partner living in South Beach.

Embiid posted this on social media:

Quoting Harvey Dent or perhaps his alias- 2Face would be more fitting in this scenario. Embiid has been the subject of controversy as of late, even being booed at home last night by Philly Fans. After hitting a huge three-pointer late in the fourth quarter, he responded with a shushing gesture, perceived to be towards the crowd. This wasn’t the first time.

Philly Fans have been booing all season, despite the Sixers having the best home record in the league, so I understand the frustration on behalf of the big man.

Anyway getting back to Embiid’s IG post/quote, former teammate Jimmy Butler commented:

Embiid fired back:

Oooooooooo, the tea is hot and I’m here for it. I would love to see Embiid play in Miami with Butler, Iggy, and Bam Adebayo. As a matter of fact, Adebayo and Butler will soon get their first chance to play together-both are Eastern Conference All Star Players.

Oh and if that’s not interesting enough for you, check this out:

This was posted by Jimmy Butler just days before he was traded to the Sixers from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Coincidence? I think not!
