The Rap GOAT debate is typically a polarizing one, fueled by passionate and subjective analysis. There’s really no way to quantify it, since music is purely preferential by nature. However, the debate generally boils down to a few players: Tupac, Jay-Z, Drake, Biggie, and sometimes Lil Wayne.
Drake cleared all of that up with an Instagram comment in which he reacted to a post calling Weezy the “most selfless artist ever.”

This man believed in me after so many never called again or just didn’t see it to begin with,” Drizzy wrote on the Instagram post. “Most selfless artist ever never held any of us back always pushed us forward every single night in people faces 20k packed into an arena and he had a whole set of his show dedicated to introducing us FOR YEARS…all praise and credit due to the GOAT.”
While Wayne did serve as a consigliere for Drake and Nicki Minaj during the hey-day of Young Money, calling him the GOAT might be a stretch.
But it’s all subjective, right?
