In a sit down interview with ESPN, quarterback Dak Prescott was asked about his future with the Dallas Cowboys for the upcoming season. Prescott is exiting his final year of his rookie contract, before becoming an unrestricted free agent in the 2020 season. Prescott and the Cowboys organization have reportedly been negotiating all season long for the contract.
Sage Steele: In six weeks or so with the franchise designation, if you don’t get this deal done by then, they are going to put the franchise tag on you.
Dak Prescott: “I mean, it is what it is.”
SS: “Do you think about that though? I mean that changes things, doesn’t it?”
DP: “It does, but I don’t give it thought. I mean, once that becomes real, once that time comes, obviously I will have that conversation with my agent and my team, and we’ll come up with a plan. But until then, I can’t let it weigh on me.”

“From a little boy, I’ve always imagined being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, and I’ve been blessed to be that.” Prescott said. “I can never imagine myself wearing anything else.”
