Yesterday on FS1’s The Herd, Colin Cowherd discussed the report that the Warriors acquired Andrew Wiggins for one reason: to get Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Warriors also have two lottery picks, one by the way of Minnesota. While I agree that it’s indeed possible, I don’t believe that it’s plausible. The Milwaukee Bucks have one of the more loyal fan bases in the league, and the entire organization is nuts about the player commonly known as the Greek Freak. Perhaps, if Giannis announces his intentions this year to depart in the summer of 2021 when his contract ends, but even then, the likelihood of this is low considering that he generally seems too prideful of a player to demand a trade after losing his first year in the finals.
But Cowherd makes a compelling point. Check it out.
